Tuna started as a personal project. Our family of six buys a lot of groceries, all with good intentions, and too much of it went to waste: the bag of carrots at the back of the fridge, the strawberries nobody got to, a third jar of mustard because nobody knew we already had two.
The other half was the weeknight stress. Standing at the fridge at five o’clock, trying to figure out what to make with what we have, and ordering out anyway.
So I built the tool I wanted: one pantry the whole house shares, that tracks every expiration date, tells us well before food goes bad, and connects what we have to the recipes we already love. We use it every day. If it works for us, it might work for you.
