Eat Out Without Guilt

Last updated

Eating out is where most tracking falls apart: no label, no scale, no patience. Tuna's answer is to let you say what you ate the way you would tell a friend, and be honest that the numbers are an estimate.

Describe it

  1. In the log, tap Describe a meal.
  2. Say it in a sentence: "chicken burrito bowl with guac, no rice." Add a photo if you have one and the name of the place if it helps.

  1. Tap Estimate. Tuna estimates the nutrition and labels its confidence: High, Medium, or Low.

The estimate stays labeled forever. A guessed burrito never quietly blends into numbers that came from labels; the dashboard tells you which is which.

Cost comes along

Enter what the meal cost and it lands with the rest of your food money:

  • In your total spending, alongside groceries, against the one household budget.
  • In the home-versus-out breakdown, which over a month usually says something worth hearing.
  • In cost per meal, where the $16 bowl and the $3 home version meet each other honestly.

Once is enough

Every described meal is saved as one of your own foods. The Thursday burrito bowl is a one-tap log next Thursday, same estimate, same honesty, no retyping.
